How to Train a Bird Robot

A recent research project documented in Science shows a project they built to emulate the functionality of bird talon/grasping:

A grasping mechanism was built with robotics and springs, roughly equivalent to tendons. Check out the article here! It’s interesting to see the gain from using a natural solution to landing, as it can “perch on a much wider range of surface geometries than current aerial robots”.
